Saturated in Love
Where God 's love is there is no fear, because God's perfect love drives out fear.
1 John 4:18
We fear rejection, so we follow the crowd. We fear not fitting in, so we take the drugs. For fear of standing out, we wear what everyone else wears. For fear of blending in, we wear what anyone else wears. For fear of sleeping alone. we sleep with anyone. For fear of being not loved, we search for love in all the wrong places. But God flushes those fears. Those saturated in God's love don't sell out to win the love of others. They don't even sell out to win the love of God. Do you think you need to? Do you think, If I cuss less, pray more, drink less, study more.. If I try harder, God will love me more? Sniff and smell Satan's stench behind those words. We all need improvements, but we don't need to woo God's love. We change because we already have God's love. God's perfect love.
Today, I read this from the book of Max Lucado entitled Grace for the moment. It's a book where in each day there are Inspirational thoughts like this. While I'm reading it, I was struck and so I'm sharing it. While I'm typing it naman, nashock ako kase kanina di ko nabasa yung chapter and verse and to tell you, It's my number kase birthday ko yan. So feeling ko parang God is speaking to me talaga.
Origin of Love
Aristophanes offers a story dealing with human nature and the human condition. Human beings were once spherical, with eight limbs like an octopus (think before you next throw that octopus on the barbie - you may be committing cannibalism), four arms and four legs, one head with two faces and four ears and two sets of genitals, male or female, or both, so that they were any one of three kinds: male-male, male-female, female-female. One day they offended the gods and to punish them, Zeus cut them in half, scattering the two severed halves in opposite directions. Since that day, we are always searching for our other half. When a half meets its other half, each is overcome by Eros and each delights in being with each other half. The reason for this is not, or at least not merely, a desire for sexual intercourse: on the contrary, the soul of each wishes for something it cannot put into words. Lovers desire to live a common life and die a common death, to become One again, in a complete and lasting union. The reason for this is our ancient nature: we were once unified Whole. 'Eros' Aristophanes tells us, 'Is he desire and pursuit of Wholeness'.
I know this isn't true. I'm not a believer of myths but I was really impressed to this one. Talking about the origin of Love, searching our other half, and so on. Now, I'm starting to wonder where is my other half. Lol.

Tears of Joy
One thing I am sure: I don't have any idea about this surprise birthday party given by my family and friends. Oh yeah, I'm touched. Let me start the story telling from the day it happened. Morning, I was at Mik's residence. Di ba nag overnight ako then pinaliguan ni Mik hair ko yung parang asa salon lang ang feeling tas kinulot nya ko kase para daw maganda ako sa birthday ko. Lol. Felt like I was a princess. I was little worried sa celebration kase wala daw power samen so I prayed. We went to Marquee for our meeting place and there nilagyan ako ng make-up ni Mik and Sai trimmed my bangs. Sa Marquee Park namen to ginawa ah, not inside. Almost 6pm already and yet no messages coming from my mom like "uwi kana dahil birthday mo" No. Nothing like that. Many tensions happened and nung karating ko sa house, I found out na andun na pala mga friends ko and they were all dressed in their summer outfit. Huhu! I don't belong. Buuuuut wait! My friends and my mom pulled me inside the room and they wanted me to wear a Hawaiian outfit. It's like Duh? I never tried anything like that so.. But of course, I don't wanna be killjoy and I knew at that time na sa bahay lang namen kaya okay lang so Go! But I was wrong! Shocks! We headed sa harap ng bahay naman which is a gym. Oh my! Many faces. What's happening?! Whoaaaaaa! Tadaaa! Here I am again, crying. Why again? because since third year high school, during my birthdays there would always something na mapapaiyak ako. Can I reminisce those for a second? HAHA. For third year: I thought my friends would not come but that was part of their plan, nagtampo ako but they surprised me then I started to cry. Fourth year: I joined YouthForChrist camp and nung last day was birthday ko. I was happy nung gabe palang kase ang dameng nag ggreet na di ko kilala. Lol. Nung bago kame mag part ways there was a program again and isa ako sa mga nag testimonial and dun ako umiyak. 1st year college: I went for a summer job so pumapasok ako hanggang 7pm and I have no idea na may surprise din yung friends ko kase naman kasabay ko lang umuwi yung iba. Karating ko ng bahay, i cried again. Humabol din yung mga kasama ko nun. Mastermind din yung mother ko sa mga surprises. So that was my moments of Tears of Joy!
My highschool friends. Sayang ang dameng wala but okay lang.
See, I'm so happy here. Abot tenga ang tuwa. I got hp mini 210 netbook from my parents.
Ever since, I wanted na talaga to experience the Japanese lantern and there you go. Don't wanna say anymore what happened after that scene.

Look at Jomerl! He's so COOOOOOL!

Change of plans
This was the plan: Help Mik na mag ayos ng kwarto nya and Sleepover. But what happened:

Nung karating namen dun sa Megamall, umalis din sila and with Mik, we were just walking and walking until we noticed na 5 times na pala namen na dadaan yung Forever 21. Lol. We bought Green tea with rock salt sa Happy Lemon kase there's nothing like that here at Angeles. The taste? ooh at first Not-Good but when we already mixed it, better from Not-Good na sya.
We ate dinner at Orchard road, a Singaporean dish.
If I would rate this up to 10, it would be 8. Pwede na. Masarap! Thanks to Kuya Ken and Ate Grace for the treat. Here they are, so sweet:
After here, naglibot kame ulet and binili akong gift ni Mik. Then umuwi na kame. Sleeping kari Mik was the plan na kasama sa plano ko. Till next time;)
My 18th year
This April 18, Wednesday, I celebrated my 18th year on this earth. Thank God for this wonderful life. I was planning talaga sa birthday ko na magpakain ng mga matatanda sa bahay Pag Ibig but due to pagiging busy I wasn't able to do that so instead sabe ko nalang sa mother ko na mag celebrate nalang ako sa Saturday with simpleng handaan na lang. On that day, my mom gave me a Juicy tshirt na may nakasulat na debutante. So perfect for me. Haha. What I did lang talaga is natulog ng hapon. Nag avail kame ng last Full show and pinanuod namen yung 5 Morons and the Crying lady. I wanted to watch that kahit may mga nagsasabeng di man maganda at corny lang pero dahil mababaw lang ang kaligayahan ko natawa naman ako. I agree din sa mga NOT LOVERS OF THAT MOVIE kase yung iba nga naman talaga ay di man nakakatawa. After namen nanuod bumili ako ng Cornetto! haha. Yung Milk chocolate. Di ko pa natitikman kase yun e. Then, Home sweet home. Knock out! That's what happened.
